Getting Started

Thank you for choosing to volunteer at the 2010 International Convention in San Antonio, Tx. Your experience at this celebration of sobriety will be enriched by your willingness to help others.

How to Create an Account

  1. Click on Create New Account from the navigation menu on the left.
  2. Required fields are designated by a red asterisk.
  3. Enter the Username you would like to use on this account.
  4. Enter and confirm your Email address.  A confirmation link will be sent to this address.
  5. Enter and confirm the Password you would like to use.
  6. Enter your personal Contact information.  This includes your name and address.
  7. You may enter up to three phone numbers at which you may be reached.  If you list more than one phone number, we will try to reach you at the phone number at the top of the list first.
  8. Select your prefered method of contact.  We will contact you according to your preference set here.
  9. Place a check to indicate which group(s) you are a member of.
  10. Use the pop-up calendar to enter your Sobriety Date.  Click inside the text box.  A calendar will pop-up.  First select the Year, then Month and finally Day.
  11. Place a check to each languague you speak.
  12. Select your shirt size.  Small, Medium, Large, Extra Large, Extra Extra Large.
  13. Click on Create New Account.
  14. If there are any errors, you will get a message at the top of the screen.  Review and correct the errors and try again.
  15. Check you email.  Within a few minutes you will receive an email message with a link to finalize your account.  Please follow the instructions on the email and click on the indicated link.

How to Edit my Contact Information

  1. You must be logged in to your account.
  2. Click on My Account from the left sidebar menu.
  3. Click on the PROFILE tab.
  4. Make any changes you wish.
  5. Click the SAVE button at the bottom of the page.

How to View Available Volunteer Time Slots

  1. Click on Volunteer Time Slots from the top menu.
  2. Available Time Slots can be filtered by Subcommittee and Day.
  3. Select the Subcommittee you would like to volunteer for from the drop-down menu.  Select the day you would like to volunteer.  Select Any if you would like to see all days.
  4. Click on the Apply button.
  5. If there are available Volunteer Time Slots for that Subcommittee on that Day, they will be listed for you.  If there are non listed, you may change the day or select Any to show all days available.

How to Sign Up for Volunteer Time Slots

  1. You must be logged in to you account.
  2. Find the Volunteer Time Slot you wish to sign up for.
  3. Click on the title of that Volunteer Time Slot.  That will take you to the details page for that Volunteer Time Slot.  If there are special requirements for that Volunteer Time Slot, they will be noted on this page.
  4. Click on the Sign Up button.
  5. You will get a message at the top of the page letting you know you have signed up successfully.

How to See my Sign Ups

  1. You must be logged in to your account.
  2. Click on My Account, on the left sidebar menu.
  3. Click on the SIGNUPS tab next to VIEW and EDIT.
  4. You will get a listing of the Volunteer Time Slots you have signed up for.

How to Cancel One of my Sign Ups

  1. You must be logged in to your account.
  2. Click on My Account from the left sidebar menu. 
  3. Click on SIGNUPS.
  4. Click on the Volunteer Time Slot you wish to cancel.
  5. Click on the Cancel Signup link next to the EDIT button.
  6. Confirm that you want to cancel by clicking on the CANCEL SIGNUP button.
  7. You will see a confirmation message at the top of the page.
